In Cusco, every corner is steeped in history. The former capital of Peru (during the Inca Empire) still preserves vestiges of what was the most important power of this ancient civilization. Ancient history can be felt in every step through the streets of its towns, which seem frozen in time.

Our tour begins at 1:00 pm with pickup from your hotel or Airbnb. We will visit Qoricancha or the ancient Inca Temple of the Sun, built with finely finished stone blocks, which, before the arrival of the Spanish, were covered with gold sheets.

Then Sacsayhuaman, whose monoliths of up to 130 tons were shaped and placed block upon block without any mortar. Besides its fortress-like appearance, this monumental complex served astronomical, sacred and ceremonial functions. The next architectural complex we will visit is Qenqo.

At first glance, you can see the sculpture, destroyed by the Spanish, of a totem or Apu, shaped like a phallus. Additionally, on the back rock, whose surface is carved with monkeys, you will find the Sector of Fertility and Water Rites.

Our next visit is the Architectural Complex of Puka Pukara, which consists of a walled construction giving it a military appearance and, from its highest point, you can enjoy a great view of the entire valley. Then, we will visit Tambomachay, also known as the Temple to the Water Deity.

Our tour ends around 5:30 pm and the drop-off will be in the center of Cusco.
