Between 4:20 and 4:50 in the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel, to travel aboard a group tourist transport along the South Valley. After two and a half hours, we will arrive at the District of Cusipata (3,310 m.a.s.l.), in the Province of Quispicanchis, where we will have breakfast.
Then we will continue aboard our vehicle along a dirt road, passing through several rural communities such as Japura and Hanchipacha, until reaching the Community of Pampachiri (4,600 m.a.s.l.), where the road ends. There, we will begin the 5 km hike up to the Vinicunca Pass (5,020 m.a.s.l.).
This trail climbs gradually to the pass in a one-and-a-half-hour hike, during which we will have the opportunity to observe alpacas and llamas. At the summit, we will contemplate the famous mountain range and its impressive colors.
At the pass, we will have free time to enjoy the most beautiful panoramic views that Mother Nature offers, with the Rainbow Mountain in shades of pink, white, red, green, brown and mustard yellow.
Afterwards, we will descend through the Red Valley for about two hours, reaching the starting point of the second part of our hike through magical places, with beautiful red mountains, and, with luck, we will spot vicuñas, condors, wallatas (Andean geese), etc., before returning to our vehicle which will take us to Cusipata for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will return to Cusco, where the vehicle will drop us off a few blocks from the Main Square, between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m.
