From here we start our hike, approximately 6 hours, passing through traditional Andean communities like Challacancha that preserve their natural beauty, heading to Soraypampa. In the afternoon we visit Humantay Lagoon at 4,250 m.a.s.l., a wonderful place. Overnight at Soraypampa.

Day 2: Soraypampa – Chaullay

After breakfast, we begin our hike for about 4 hours climbing to the highest pass (4,650 masl / 15,255 ft). We can enjoy the most impressive views of Salkantay (6,272 masl / 20,577 ft). We continue through spectacular mountains observing Humantay and Huayanay. We will also see small ponds.

After a long descent, we arrive at our campsite in Chaullay (2,950 masl / 9,678 ft), our 2nd camp.

Day 3: Chaullay – La Playa

After breakfast, we hike to La Playa. On the way we enjoy pleasant tropical jungle weather and can see plantations of coffee, bananas and other fruits, including beautiful orchids. We make a brief stop for lunch at Lluscamayu, continue our hike, arriving at our third campsite "La Playa / The Beach".

Day 4: La Playa – Santa Teresa – Aguas Calientes

Early in the morning after breakfast, we take local transport to Santa Teresa, then continue walking to Machu Picchu "Hidroelectrica". Here we have two options: take the train or walk 2 hours to reach Aguas Calientes in Machu Picchu, where we stay at a hotel.
